DAYSPRING HEARTCARE AND SUPPORT FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting preventive heart care, supporting cardiac patients, and creating awareness about cardiovascular health through seminars, workshops, and welfare programs.
2. What are the main objectives of the Foundation?
Our objectives are to:
- Support patients with cardiac diseases through welfare and medical assistance.
- Educate the public on cardiovascular disease prevention through seminars and conferences.
- Provide financial and moral aid to motherless babies’ homes and similar institutions.
- Encourage training and re-training of medical personnel both locally and internationally.
- Source financial and other aid from individuals, organizations, and governments to support cardiac care.
3. Who can become a member of the Foundation?
Membership is open to responsible and reputable individuals who share our goals and values. Members are admitted by the Trustees in accordance with the Foundation’s constitution.
4. Are there membership fees or dues?
No, the Foundation does not charge membership dues. However, members and supporters are welcome to make voluntary donations or gifts to help advance our charitable work.
5. Who is not eligible for membership?
The following individuals are disqualified from membership:
- Persons under 18 years of age.
- Persons of unsound mind.
- Individuals convicted of crimes involving dishonesty within the past 10 years.
- Undischarged bankrupt individuals.
6. Who are the Trustees and what do they do?
The Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees consisting of seven members appointed at a General Meeting. They hold office for life (except in cases of resignation or disqualification) and are responsible for policy formulation, property management, and representing the Foundation in all legal and administrative matters.

The Foundation operates the following offices:
- Chairman of the Board of Trustees

- Treasurer

Additional offices may be created as deemed necessary by the Trustees.

Chairman: Presides over meetings, directs discussions, and represents the Foundation publicly.

Secretary: Handles correspondence, records meetings, and maintains the membership register.
9. How often does the Foundation meet?
The Foundation holds:
- An Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year to review audited accounts and reports.
- Board of Trustees meetings as often as required to discuss governance and operations.
- Extraordinary General Meetings when necessary, as called by the Chairman or Trustees.
10. How are financial matters managed?
Funds are generated through voluntary donations, offerings, and approved sources. The Treasurer maintains detailed records, prepares annual budgets, and presents financial statements for auditing. The Foundation operates official bank accounts, and all accounts are audited annually by an independent auditor.
11. When does the Foundation’s financial year begin and end?
The financial year starts on January 1st and ends on December 31st of every year.
12. Can the Foundation’s constitution be amended?
Yes, the constitution may be amended during a General Meeting with at least a two-thirds majority vote of members present, provided prior approval is obtained from the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
13. What happens if the Foundation is dissolved?
If the Foundation is ever dissolved, all remaining assets—after settling debts—will be transferred to another charitable organization with similar objectives, as determined by the members and approved by the Corporate Affairs Commission.

You can support the Foundation by volunteering, attending our seminars, making donations, or helping spread awareness about heart care and prevention. Every contribution helps save lives and strengthen heart health in our communities.
